You might not realize this, but rodents can also pose potential fire hazards in your home. If they chew through the wiring in your home and the exposed wires spark, small electrical fires can erupt inside the walls of your home. Mice can also knock over lit candles that you might have out on your counter tops. If you accidentally leave a candle burning when you leave, one mouse could knock that candle over and cause a fire that could destroy your home.
To protect your home and your family, you should schedule a home inspection before you leave your home for an extended period of time. Once the exterminator has determined the types of pests you're having a problem with, they will be able to remove the threat from your home.
